Contribute to LERI
Share your research.
Advance the conversation.
A thoughtful article can connect disciplines, clarify a disputed finding, or begin a new collaboration.
What to contribute
Start with a
well-defined question.
We invite prospective associates to propose articles on aging science, AI, computer science, medical and biomedical research, and the connections between them. An article does not have to announce a breakthrough to be valuable.
A clear explanation of a difficult paper, a careful comparison of methods, or a proposal that identifies a genuine research gap can give another researcher a useful starting point. Write for a knowledgeable reader who may not share your specialty.
For PhD research associates covered by LERI’s future-treatment commitment, participation requires at least one article per calendar quarter. See the associate criteria and commitment.
Research explanation
Explain the question, method, result, and limitations of a published paper. Link to the source and distinguish the authors’ findings from your interpretation.
Methods or evidence note
Compare analytical approaches, discuss a measurement problem, or explain a reproducibility challenge. State what another researcher could check.
Collaboration proposal
Describe a focused question, the expertise you bring, the help you need, and a realistic first step. Identify the evidence that motivates the work.
A suggested article structure
From an idea
to a readable contribution.
Use this outline as a starting point, adapting it to your subject. It is guidance for preparing a submission, not a promise of publication.
- Title and short summaryName the question and the main point in language a reader outside your discipline can understand.
- Background and relevanceExplain why the question matters for aging research and which earlier work it builds on.
- Evidence or approachDescribe the study or method precisely, with source links and enough context to assess the claim.
- Limitations and alternativesIdentify uncertainty, competing explanations, and what your article does not establish.
- Next steps and discussionSuggest a testable question or the specific collaboration you are seeking.
- References and disclosuresList sources, relevant interests, and any AI assistance. Share only material you have permission to disclose.
